NOTICE OF CONDITIONAL APPROVAL - The following registered nurse programs/schools have not achieved the required National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) pass rates for two (2) successive years and are on conditional approval:

Please be advised that if you choose to submit an application for temporary or full licensure and pay the associated application fee, despite this notice, all fees collected by the Board are non-refundable.
On September 23, 2020 the Board determined
that the American International Institute of Health (AIIH) Practical Nursing
Program, a closed nursing program that no longer operates in Arlington,
Virginia, is not substantially equivalent to a PN nursing program
approved in Maryland and that,
consequently, applicants who attended the PN education program at the American International
Institute of Health (AIIH) Practical Nursing Program will not meet minimum
qualifications for licensure as a PN in the State of Maryland.
On September 23, 2020 the Board determined that the National School of Nursing and Allied Health (NSNAH) Practical Nursing Program , a closed nursing program that no longer operates in Woodbridge, Virginia, is not substantially equivalent to a PN nursing program approved in Maryland and that, consequently, applicants who attended the PN education program at the National School of Nursing and Allied Health (NSNAH) Practical Nursing Program will not meet minimum qualifications for licensure as a PN in the State of Maryland.
LPN to RN On-Line Programs
The Maryland Board of Nursing has approved the on-line nursing programs below for LPN to RN. This programs listed below are the ONLY programs permitted by the Board. Successful completion of the programs listed below allows the nurse to apply for licensure by examination or endorse into the state.
