Star College Practical Nursing Program Graduates

Notice to graduates of Star College Practical Nursing Program:

Please be advised that on September 23, 2020, the Maryland Board of Nursing reviewed documentation submitted by Star College Practical Nursing Program, an PN education program formerly located at 6066 Leesburg Pike, Suite 450, Falls Church, Virginia (a closed nursing program, no longer in operation), and determined that Star College Practical Nursing Program is NOT substantially equivalent to the PN education program approved in Maryland.  As a result, graduates of Star Colleg Practical Nursing Program DO NOT meet minimum qualifications for full PN licensure in Maryland.

You are encouraged to consider the Board’s finding that Star College Practical Nursing Program's PN education program is not substantially equivalent before applying for either temporary or full RN licensure in Maryland. Please be advised that if you choose to submit an application for temporary or full RN licensure and pay the associated application fee, despite this notice, all fees collected by the Board are non-refundable.​
