FAQ - Legal Implications of Precepting an APRN Student

Question: I am a graduate student currently studying at the University of Maryland. I am trying to find some information on the legal implications of precepting an APRN student in the clinical setting. After reviewing the website I was unable to find any information. Would you be able to point me towards any resources?
Thank you for your help.

Response: We are always happy to hear that someone wants to precept a student. However, employees of the Board cannot advise you.  We are not permitted to provide legal advice.  Your institution, or personal legal counsel should be able to provide you information on the implications for taking on graduate students requiring clinical preceptorships.  Thank you for your inquiry.
